Queensland Health was behind Australia’s largest-ever haul of illegal cigarettes and vapes by a health authority.

According to an official statement released earlier this month, 19m cigarettes, 76,000 vapes and 3.6 tonnes of loose tobacco were seized in the March raid.

Various other similar seizures have occurred around the country in the wake of e-cigarette regulations that took effect on 1st October 2024.
