- US - Arkansas: Senate Bill 252 has been introduced. It would establish a new directory system managed by Arkansas Tobacco Control, requiring manufacturers to certify their vapour and e-liquid products, with specific requirements for products to be legally sold in the state. Manufacturers would be obliged to demonstrate that their products were on the market as of 8th August 2016, have a pending premarket tobacco product application (PMTA) with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or have received FDA marketing authorisation. The bill would also require all alternative nicotine products, including nicotine pouches and e-сigarettes, to be sold in child-resistant packaging. Additionally, the bill would prohibit advertising of such products that might appeal to children.

US – Arkansas: House Bill 1725 has passed the House and been sent to the Senate. Among its provisions, it would establish safety inspections for child-resistant packaging of tobacco, vapour and alternative nicotine products, and e-liquids; ban advertising of vaping and alternative nicotine products; and establish a manufacturers directory.

- US - General: The Clinton Foundation announced a funding plan for Tobacco Free Portfolios (TFP), with a total value of $5.5m over approximately five years. The foundation has partnered with the state of California, Truth Initiative, BNP Paribas, and Ing Bank Slaski, among others. The primary goals of the funding plan to be reached by December 2023 are to increase the committed assets by at least $3tn and engage with at least 20% of the leading US financial institutions. TFP is a nonprofit organisation with a mission to promote tobacco-free finance across financial institutions.

US - Arkansas: Senate Bill 45 is advancing through the legislative process. It would raise from 19 to 21 the legal age to purchase, sell, exchange, or possess tobacco, nicotine products or any “electronic smoking product”, and ban their online sale. It would also levy a tax on all nicotine-containing electronic smoking products at 75% of their wholesale price.
