Iran: Jafar Jandaghi, head of the Environment and Occupational Health Centre of the Ministry of Health, told local press that the ban on heated tobacco and e-cigarettes extends beyond production to encompass sales, manufacturing and advertising, due to the harmful impact on health of these products. E-cigarettes are banned in Iran under the Executive Bylaw of the Act on National Control and Campaign Against Tobacco.

Iran: The Chamber of Guilds has issued a news release prohibiting the sale and supply in chain and franchise shops of tobacco products, including heated tobacco and e-cigarettes. The release explained that this action is in line with the Ministry of Health’s efforts to combat tobacco use.
