US - Mississippi: House Bill (HB) 1943 has been introduced. HB 1943 would define heated tobacco products (HTPs), and further establish a tax rate on these products that would be “2.8 cents on each disposable heated tobacco unit or stick sold to be used for consumption by insertion into a heated tobacco product heating system device”.

US - Mississippi: House Bill 856 has been introduced. It would increase the tax rate on cigarettes from $0.034 to $0.059 per cigarette in the state. As the definition of cigarettes includes any product containing nicotine intended to be burned or heated, we understand that heated tobacco products would be taxed as cigarettes.
