3rd February 2025: US - Washington: House Bill 1203 seeks to ban flavoured tobacco and nicotine products – including heated tobacco, vape products and nicotine pouches – from 1st January 2026. The bill was introduced a month ago and had its first hearing on Friday, 31st January.
27th January 2025: US - Washington: Senate Bill (SB) 5526 has been introduced. SB 5526 would create a public state directory for all vapour products containing nicotine. Retailers would only be allowed to sell vapour products listed in this directory, with significant penalties for non-compliance and potential licence suspension or revocation. The bill also expands definitions related to tobacco and nicotine products, and establishes new requirements for distributors and retailers, including mandatory licensing and record-keeping. Additionally, the bill introduces provisions to address nicotine analogues.
9th January 2025: US - Washington: House Bill 1203 has been introduced. It would ban flavoured tobacco and nicotine products, including e-сigarettes. According to the bill, beginning 1st January 2026, no retailer may sell, offer for sale, display, market or advertise for sale any flavoured tobacco or nicotine product or “entertainment vapor product” (any vapour product that has interactive gaming or entertainment features).
