HnB weathers the rise in Japanese taxes as other forms of tobacco product are hit

Heated tobacco has benefitted from an increase in excise duties on some tobacco products in Japan even though they meant a price rise for heat-not-burn (HnB) products too.

The fact that conventional cigarettes were unaffected by increases that included HnB probably dissuaded some smokers from switching. But heated tobacco saw a significant number of users transition over from other types of tobacco.
