This area provides a global overview of the current regulatory burden compared to the forecasted 5-year burden. Click on any country for an in-depth country-specific analysis. This includes the current and forecasted score for each product and policy area with an explanation of the forecast for each product, country-specific bills and policies, stakeholders and elections.

 

Bills & policies

This tab contains an overview of the proposed and adopted but not in force bills as well as adopted tobacco policies globally.  Each are classified by the impact and likelihood of passing. You will be able to filter by country, product, policy area and sub area, allowing you to easily identify all bills and policies that affect a certain area, such as flavours.

A summary of the bill, as well as a comment on its impact and its likelihood of passing is provided when hovering over a specific bill or policy.

 

Elections monitor

This tab provides a global overview of all the relevant selections for the industry worldwide. Elections are classified into various levels of impact taking into account the views of political parties and likelihood of government change. You can also filter by country and election year and get further comments about the election itself.
