Kazakhstan to introduce criminal liability for violation of the existing ban on snus

Kazakhstan plans to introduce criminal liability to an existing ban on the import, production and distribution of snus.

The country will introduce new measures as part of legislation bringing in a complete ban on the use of vape products and their import, production and sale across the country. The ban would not apply to heated tobacco devices. Pouches are banned by a separate resolution introduced by the government.
