The Swiss Federal Administrative Court has reportedly lifted the sales ban on nicotine-containing e-cigarettes issued in 2015 by the Federal Food Safety and Veterinary Office (BLV).
InSmoke, the company that brought the complaint against the ban, says nicotine-containing e-cigarettes may now be sold in Switzerland as long as they are sold legally in an EU member state and comply with EU standards.
A statement on the company website says: “For almost two and a half years, the Federal Administrative Court dealt with this complex case. By judgment of 24 April 2018, the Federal Administrative Court annuls this prohibition.”
