Are you funded by a tobacco or tobacco-alternative company?

No, we are not funded or backed in any way by tobacco companies. Like many business publications, we inevitably earn some revenue from the companies that we write about, insofar as employees of those companies pay for subscriptions to our service. But that's as far as it goes. Our employees and contributors are asked not to invest in tobacco companies.

What is your editorial position on tobacco or tobacco-alternative regulation?

We strive to be impartial and objective, which means we don’t take pro- or anti- positions on particular regulatory issues (though our contributors are free to have their personal views). We hope to support a fair, reasonable, and informed dialogue on regulation among all stakeholders.
