Tobacco products are regulated in Cyprus under the Health Protection (Smoking Control) Law of 2017 (hereafter the Health Protection Law), which transposed the EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) 2014/40/EU and the Health Protection (Smoking Control) Regulations of 2017 (hereafter the Health Protection Regulations). No significant changes are expected to take place in the foreseeable future as novel tobacco products have been absent from the public debate in recent years.
