Regulatory report: Russia – heated tobacco, September 2020

The federal law no. 303 “On Amending Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation on the Protection of Citizens’ Health from the Consequences of Consuming of Nicotine-Containing Products” (Law no. 303), which extends tobacco restrictions to heated tobacco products, was signed by president Vladimir Putin and officially published on 31st July 2020. The law came into force on the same day of its official publication, with exceptions for some provisions.
