France plans to ban nicotine pouches to protect youth, new health minister says

France may soon ban nicotine pouches, based on recent declarations by the country’s newly appointed minister of health Geneviève Darrieussecq.

In an interview with French daily newspaper Le Parisien, Darrieussecq said the government would ban pouches and other oral nicotine products as a measure to protect French youth.

The minister, whose interview was published on 29th October, announced that a ban would be drafted in the coming weeks.
