Young adults in the US are giving up on cigarettes as their consumption of cannabis outstrips that of tobacco. Based on recently published Gallup data, more than twice as many young people say they smoke cannabis as smoke conventional cigarettes.

While not denying a correlation, the analytics and polling firm did not highlight any cause-and-effect link between the two mirroring trends.
