UK consumers are facing a considerable hike in the price of all tobacco products following the Spring Budget outlined last week by chancellor (finance minister) Jeremy Hunt.
“The government is committed to maintaining high tobacco duty rates. This is an established tool to reduce smoking prevalence and ensure that tobacco duties continue contributing to government revenues,” the Treasury stated.
