Young adults in the US are more likely to vape or use cannabis than to smoke cigarettes, as the national smoking rate hovers near a historical low. But many Americans still perceive vaping as dangerous, and support stronger regulation.

Findings from a Gallup poll released this month confirm that Americans’ willingness to ditch cigarettes is accompanied by a growing interest in e-cigarettes and cannabis among 18- to 29-year-olds, an age group that consumes cannabis more than they smoke tobacco or vape.
