Dutch officials foresee conservative TPD that’s unlikely to take effect before 2027

Dutch officials believe a revised EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) will not come into force before 2027 at the earliest and, when it does, will reflect a conservative approach to novel tobacco products.

Dutch state secretary of health, welfare and sport Maarten van Ooijen said in a statement that he believed the revised EU Tobacco Products Directive (TPD) will not come into force before 2027.
