The final report of the Special Committee on Beating Cancer (BECA), that will be voted on 9th December, is expected to ask the Commission to implement a blanket ban on “all characteristic flavours” in heated tobacco and novel tobacco products.

Political parties agreed earlier this week on a set of the so-called “compromise amendments” to be included in the final version of the report, prepared in response to Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan launched by the European Commission in February.
