The Dutch House of Representatives gave the green light to a proposal seeking to ban nicotine pouches completely. This move by the lower chamber of parliament seems to illustrate how the Netherlands is becoming increasingly anti–novel nicotine.
The proposal establishes rules for nicotine-containing products that do not contain tobacco. These products would also fall under the Tobacco and Smoking Products Act and would be subject to an advertising ban and an age limit, among other restrictions. The amendment also sets out to completely ban nicotine pouches.
