In recent years the country has changed its heated tobacco framework and it does not seem that the “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. government is willing to modify it. In the short term, manufactures and retailers will need to start complying with the provisions of the Vaporised Nicotine and non-Nicotine Products Regulation Act, and new technical regulations will clarify loopholes in the recently enacted law, such as labelling requirements.
