Three years after the expected date, the Spanish government has finally approved the country’s new anti-smoking plan, which will now need to be implemented through different laws across the country.
Spain’s new health minister, Mónica García, has clearly delivered on the promise she made before the country’s parliament in January, not long after the beginning of her mandate, of finally approving the Plan for Smoking Prevention (PIT) before the end of this year.
Tiziana is an Italian journalist from Sardinia. She has worked for both international and local media in Italy, South Africa, France, Spain, the UK, Lebanon and Belgium. She also worked as a communications manager for several international NGOs in the humanitarian sector.
