Trump says he’ll save vaping, but should the US alternatives industry trust him?

Donald Trump has promised to save vaping in the US. But there are concerns over whether policy would follow rhetoric if he was to win the November election and what tying vaping regulation to his candidacy would mean if he was to lose.

The Vapor Technology Association (VTA) met with Trump prior to him announcing on his own social media platform that he would save vaping again as he had previously saved flavoured vaping in 2019.

However, specific policy proposals for how his administration would achieve this have not been forthcoming.
