Altria reports strong oral tobacco growth and invests further in heated tobacco

Altria released its fourth-quarter and full-year financial results today, highlighting significant growth in its oral tobacco segment and strategic steps forward in the heated tobacco market, despite ongoing challenges.

The company announced investments in nicotine pouches and heated tobacco products, along with its efforts to expand internationally. During the presentation of its financial results, the company stressed its efforts to compete internationally in the oral tobacco and nicotine pouch markets, referring to its ongoing activities in Sweden and the UK. Altria’s On! and On! Plus nicotine pouches are currently competing internationally via e-commerce platforms and select retail locations in these markets. Additionally, the company launched its Swic heated tobacco capsule product in a small-scale test via e-commerce in Great Britain.
