Swedish Match sees 2021 finish with strong growth in smoke-free products

Swedish Match has reported an 11% sales increase in 2021 driven by the smoke-free product segment, with strong growth in the US and Scandinavia. The Stockholm-based company highlighted the contribution its nicotine pouches in particular were making and the potential for greater future growth in that product category.

The company forecasts further growth in consumer demand for safer alternatives to cigarettes for 2022, and plans to invest more in the US and Scandinavia, especially when it comes to nicotine pouches, as it looks to continue to help build alternatives to conventional cigarettes.
