This report analyses how the four geographical areas in the US (South, Northeast, Midwest and West) regulate four main regulatory areas of heated tobacco products: taxation, product restrictions, retail channel and youth access restrictions, and advertising.
The main purpose of this report is to analyse patterns that can be found in the making of legislation in geographical areas, and to observe if there are any similarities and differences within each one.
The report aims to identify which states are more active or inactive in every regulatory section of each geographical area. In each section, we analyse whether neighbouring states can be influenced by one another and enact similar laws.
