Europe regulatory tracker: heated tobacco flavour ban – EU member states’ transposition status

Flavoured heated tobacco products have been officially prohibited across Europe, following the publication in the Official Journal of Commission Delegated Directive (EU) 2022/2100 on 3rd November 2022.

The delegated directive now needs to be incorporated into member states’ frameworks, which needs to be done by 23rd July 2023. The ban will be applicable starting 23rd October 2023.

This tracker will provide monthly updates on the transposal status of the Commission delegated directive in every member state.
